Startup, spin-offs and innovation hubs have competed in the 2019 all’Unical
Last 27 the edition took place in September 2019 from the “Researchers' Night – SuperScienceMe“, event promoted by the European Commission to introduce the world of research to thousands of potential users, students, citizens and businesses.
In Calabria, the event took place in parallel in the three universities with a rich program of presentations, experiments and meetings, in research laboratories (Experience Search), in the stands animated by the research groups (Research Expo) and in the areas dedicated to the products of spin-off companies and innovative startups (What an undertaking the research e Unical Innovation Expo) and regional research funding instruments (Corner BY Calabria).
Also present in this area were innovation hubs which were started in 2019 (NET Hub for Environment and Natural Risks, Cassiodoro Center for Culture and Tourism, Polo Pitagora for ICT and innovative tertiary sectors, Polo R&DLog for Logistics, BioTecnoMed Center for Life Sciences, Polo Green HoMe for Sustainable Construction).
Even this year, the participation of students from all over the region and citizens was very broad with over 16.000 visitors.
The edition 2019 of SuperScienceMe was jointly organized by the University of Calabria, Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro, CNR – through six of its institutes (IBFM, ICAR, IIA, IIT, ITM, NANOTEC) – and Calabria Region, through the National and Community Planning Department.
