Kick-off meeting of Polo Pitagora, an opportunity for the Polos and the Region to meet.
Last 5 November, il “kick-off meeting” of the Pythagorean Pole (ICT and Innovative Tertiary areas) in Catanzaro it was an opportunity for a discussion on ongoing activities and regional and national opportunities for the Innovation Centers and associated companies.
After the introductory speech by Giuseppe Pisano, president of the Pitagora ICT Hub, managers and officials of the Calabria Region took stock of the implementation of the programs for R&S and innovation (dr. Menotti Lucchetta, research manager) and presented the opportunities offered by the MISE programs on Vouchers for Innovation Managers and on Innovation Agreements and by the POR Calabria with the INGEGNO call and the Innovation Poles (Rosalba Maida, Antonio Macrì e Bruno Stella, POR Calabria action managers 2014-2020).
In particular, with reference to the financing of Strategic Research Agendas & Development in regional innovation areas, the discussion highlighted some elements of interest for the hubs and associated companies:
- the Region has reserved sufficient resources to finance in 2020 R's projects&S of the Strategic Agendas in the Innovation areas of the Poles;
- projects characterized by TRL will be rewarded (level of technological development) higher, also to enhance existing research results
- the ability to attract extra-regional companies will also be rewarded, starting effective local units and increasing the units dedicated to research.
The Innovation Hubs will therefore have the opportunity to activate innovative partnerships between associated companies and research groups to build “schedule” of competitive industrial research.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Roberto Guarasci, president of the scientific committee of the ICT Hub, dr. Luciano Ricci, director of the same Hub and the representatives of the regional Innovation Hubs presenting their respective work plans and ongoing activities.
The meeting ended with an appointment for 21 November in the session dedicated to the Innovation Poles of the workshop WinLog in Cosenza.
