The new call for Mediterranean cooperation is dedicated to enhancing the results of various initiatives “euromed”.
The last call of the ENI CBC MED program of the period 2014-2020 it is destined to capitalization projects which favor the transfer and use of knowledge and results developed within various Euro-Mediterranean initiatives, such as ENPI/ENI CBC Med programs, the Union for the Mediterranean, Interreg MED but also other actions aimed at the Mediterranean such as WestMED, BlueMed, PRIMA, bi-multiregional cooperation programs.
Taking into account the consequences of the COVID-19 emergency, the call encourages the development of actions that promote socio-economic regeneration throughout the Mediterranean area, in terms of:
- Job creation;
- Transition towards zero-emission economies;
- Efficient provision of social welfare services;
- Support for the most vulnerable people.
The notice addresses four thematic objectives and eleven priority:
- Business and SMEs development (start-ups; economic clusters; sustainable tourism);
- Technology transfer and innovation (commercialisation of research results; SMEs access to research and innovation);
- Social inclusion and fight against poverty (professionalization of NEETS and women; social and solidarity economy);
- Environment and climate change (water efficiency; waste management; energy efficiency; integrated coastal zone management).
The overall financial allocation of the tender is equal to 11 million euros, with a project contribution of between 500.000 e 1.000.000 euro, not exceeding 90% of costs total.
Public and private organizations from the countries participating in the program can participate. For Italy the eligible territories are the Basilicata regions, Calabria, Campania, Lazio, Liguria, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily and Tuscany.
The expiration for submitting applications is the 28 July 2020.
