Published i “draft topics” of the September H2020 call on the Green Deal
The European Commission has officially published the draft themes (“topics”) of the next one “call Green Deal” on Horizon 2020 which will be launched for mid-September and dedicated to the themes of the European Green Deal. The deadline for submitting projects is January 2021.
Projects will be called upon to deliver tangible and visible results in a relatively short time to show how research and innovation can provide concrete solutions for the main priorities of the Green Deal.
Because of this, the “call” intends to support pilot applications, demonstration projects and innovative products, as well as better governance of the transition “verde” and social innovation to involve civil society and empower citizens.
The themes of’sustainable building they are present in various topics, with particular emphasis in Area 4: Energy and resource-efficient buildings which requires large-scale demonstration projects and in real conditions of technologies and social innovations in all main energy aspects related to buildings (design, production, storage, maintenance, ecc.) as specifically mentioned draft topic published.
More generally, the call Green Deal It's composed by 11 areas
- eight thematic areas on key aspects of the European Green Deal;
- Call area 1: Increasing climate ambition: cross-sectoral challenges (3 topics)
- Call area 2: Clean, affordable and secure energy (2 topics)
- Call area 3: Industry for a clean and circular economy (2 topics)
- Call area 4: Energy and resource-efficient buildings (1 topic)
- Call area 5: Sustainable and smart mobility (1 topic)
- Call area 6: Farm to Fork (1 topic)
- Call area 7: Restoring biodiversity and ecosystem services (1 topic)
- Call area 8: Zero-pollution, toxic-free environment (2 topics)
- three horizontal areas (strengthening of knowledge, citizen empowerment and international cooperation).
