The 1 September the project started Clusters for the city of the Future, with Green HoMe and others 5 European cluster.
Services and products for smart cities are recognized by the European Commission in the Agenda for Sustainable Development for 2030 as a solution to the challenges posed by increasing urbanization in terms of mobility, building, public services, environment and safety.
In this picture, the project Clusters for the city of the future (C2Future) is promoted by a network of 6 European clusters that aim to create new value chains towards extra-European markets (such as USA, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Algeria) taking advantage of the contacts already established in these countries and involving beyond 800 SME for:
- create a strategic partnership in the field of smart cities
- promote mutual knowledge, trans-regional and intersectoral partnerships between clusters and associated SMEs
- encourage the internationalization of clusters and associated SMEs through the development of a long-term cooperation agenda towards non-European markets
- promote the C2Future partnership and its activities at regional level, national and European
C2Future is promoted by 6 cluster in ICT, mobility, construction and building and environmental technologies that operate in
- Bulgaria (DTI – Cluster for Digital Transformation and Innovations),
- Spain (Aclima – Cluster Association of Environmental Industries of Euskadi),
- Serbia (ICT Net – ICT Network Association),
- Greece (HAMAC SEKEE – Hellenic Association of Mobile Application Companies - Syndesmos Etairion Kiniton Efarmogon Ellados)
- Italia (Lombard Cluster Association of Mobility, Green HoMe – Innovation pole for sustainable construction).
C2Future is a project co-financed by the internationalization action of European clusters of the COSME program (call COS-CLUSINT-2019-3-01). Started on 1 September 2020, has an expected duration of 24 months.
