14 July. Meeting of the S3HM experimental project on the structural monitoring of buildings in the Savuto area.
Wednesday 14 July, in the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Bianchi, a meeting was held to discuss and update the applied research project S3HM – Savuto Smart Structural Health Monitoring.
The thematic table saw the project partnership at the forefront (ALMA srl, SPINTEL srl, Spring Research srl e University of Calabria, through the departments DIAm and DIMES) and the representatives of the Common from Bianchi, colosimi e Scigliano that, together withNERS Association of civil protection, had shown interest in this issue in the context of the "Living Labs": projects financed under the POR Calabria funds 2014-2020.
The project S3HM aims to develop low-cost solutions that are easier to install and manage for monitoring the structural conditions of buildings of strategic interest, with the aim of defining not only actions for scheduled maintenance, but the possibility of providing intervention scenarios in emergency conditions (seismic, hydrogeological, ecc..), activating appropriate alert / alarm actions.
Representatives of the municipalities of Motta Santa Lucia e Pedivigliano, who showed a keen interest in the sensitivity of the themes of the project.
During the first phase of the meeting, each representative of the partnership shared the technical-scientific framework and the progress of the project activity with the public, while the second phase of the meeting saw a constructive and fruitful interaction between the representatives of the chosen municipalities, the partnership and the rest of the public.
The meeting was organized by Green HoMe, il Innovation Hub for Sustainable Construction, which played a driving role in the construction phase of the partnership, facilitating meetings with municipalities and collaboration between companies and research laboratories that are among their members.
