The Hard To Abate call has been published: the incentive for the decarbonisation of production processes in highly polluting sectors

On the proposal of Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the call Hard-To-Abate represents an important incentive for companies operating in polluting and difficult-to-convert sectors, like concrete, the paper mills, the ceramics and glass industry. In particular, companies of any size can benefit from the concessions, even jointly, and research organizations (as co-proposal) who intend to implement an industrial decarbonisation plan.

financial endowment: 1 billion euro on PNRR funds Il 40% of resources is intended for the implementation of projects and interventions aimed at replacing more of the 90% of methane and fossil fuels in low-carbon hydrogen production processes. Furthermore, il 40% of resources is reserved for the Abruzzo Regions, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily. The financing is granted in the form of a non-repayable grant and each project must include eligible costs and expenses of no less than 500.000 euro.
