Italy in Class A, the national campaign on energy efficiency promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security and implemented by ENEA, has a new Opinion Leader.
This is Green HoMe, the managing body of the innovation hub for sustainable construction founded as a non-profit in 2018 from University of Calabria, Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria and five innovative SMEs.
The agreement signed in Cosenza by Mario Maiolo, President of Green HoMe and Professor of the Department of Environmental Engineering of the University of Calabria, and by Ilaria Bertini, Director of the Energy Efficiency Unit Department of ENEA, gives the Hub the role of Opinion Leader "to strengthen the promotional actions carried out by ENEA as part of the Italian National Campaign in Class A".
The mutual commitment provides for the expansion of the audience of recipients of messages relating to the issues of energy efficiency and the promotion of building design solutions, urban planning and interior furnishings suitable for containing energy consumption. Green HoMe will contribute to transferring elements of design innovation into the urban regeneration master plan coordinated by ENEA, which will be delivered to the Municipality of Cosenza in December 2023 and will also give rise to training and information activities that will involve universities, professional orders, PA, schools and citizenship.
The collaboration is part of the activities of the Urban Living Lab of the DE-Sign Project for the City of Cosenza, aimed at an energetically sustainable urban model, inclusive and in line with the indications of the Renovation Wave Strategy and the New European Bauhaus.
