Activities:

It is proposed to achieve two main objectives, the first concerns the performance of the institutional role envisaged by the law 5 November 1971 n. 1086 (G.U. 21December 1971, n. 321) for quality controls on building materials, the second refers to the promotion of a theoretical and experimental research activity concerning the monitoring of buildings in the static and dynamic field, the modal identification of structural organisms, in situ investigations on structures and structural elements, the seismic adaptation of buildings. In addition to checks on the quality of building materials, the laboratory carries out experimental activities on materials, prototypes and structures in the field of structural engineering. The theoretical and applicative aspects of linear and non-linear analysis of structures are also studied, dynamic experimentation and structural identification, the mechanical characterization of innovative materials, the seismic analysis of the structures, the seismic vulnerability of existing structures, the repair and reinforcement of structures using traditional and innovative materials, the improvement and seismic adaptation of the monumental heritage.
