Activities:
The laboratory brings together specific skills aimed at research, the development and optimization of materials and nanomaterials for applications in the environmental and energy fields. It carries out activities of: preparation and testing of catalysts in reforming processes, production of nanofibers using the electrospinning technique for applications in various fields (sensors, energy storage devices, water –splitting). It is proposed as a partner to companies for the activities of: assistance in the development of research on new materials, validation of new eco-sustainable formulations and compatibility studies between the various constituents; basic characterization through different instrumental analytical techniques: XRD, XRF, SEM-EDX, TG-DSC, of the formulations of eco-sustainable materials and their products after installation; technical advice in the production of building materials (semi-finished / finished products) for the evaluation of products in terms of environmental and energy sustainability (LCA Life Cycle Assesment); evaluation of products in terms of compliance with the standards required by national and international regulations.
